Richard Estes is a photo-realistic photographer. This artist is well
known for his geometric landscapes and stunning visuals. He is thought
of as one of the artists who laid a foundation for the Photo -Realist
movement.
Richard Estes is a native New Yorker who makes a habit of focusing on urban landscapes in his artwork. Like
Da Vinci and many other artists, he used several different techniques in order to complete a single work of art.
Some of Richard Estes artwork includes:
- Telephone booths
- Times Square
- Salzburg Cathedral
No
photo-realistic piece that he does can be referred to as a photograph,
painting or print alone. He often uses all three of these techniques in
his work. He usually starts off with a photograph of a part of a city
and then applies painting techniques and printing techniques to it.
